A tobacco chukka boot is autumn's color, and this one is made for autumn's weather. Two eyelets, a clean ankle line in a deep golden amber-brown, hand-burnished at the toe and heel so the amber shifts as you walk. It is cut from top-grade European box calf and built on the 675 last — almond toe, generous through the middle. Every Chukka is made by our artisans in a workshop in Almansa, Goodyear welted, one pair at a time. A Dainite rubber sole, made in England, handles the ground: rubber with a name worth knowing, grip on wet leaves and cold pavement, and a sole that wears down slowly enough to see the season come round many times over.
Wear it with denim, with corduroy, with tweed and camel and everything in the chestnut family. Tobacco is the color that does the most work between October and March; the sole is what keeps it out there for all of it.
The color the season asks for, on a sole that can stay out in it.
