Black Chukka Dainite - 675

A black chukka boot is the one that goes anywhere, and this is the one that goes anywhere in November. Two eyelets, open lacing, a clean ankle-height line in deep box-calf black, finished smooth for an even shine. The upper is top-grade European box calf; the 675 last underneath gives the almond toe real volume, so the foot settles in over a long day. Every Chukka is made by our artisans in a workshop in Almansa, Goodyear welted, one pair at a time. Underfoot is a Dainite rubber sole, made in England, the one men ask for by name: it holds on wet ground, it wears down slowly, and it puts a dress boot on the street on days you would otherwise plan around.

Wear it with charcoal and a topcoat, or with dark denim on the weekend. Black asks nothing of the rest of what you own; the sole means the weather asks nothing of the boot.
