Brown is the colour that goes everywhere a black shoe can't. The Chris in brown is the single monk at its most wearable — one buckle, no laces, a wingtip brogued down the sides and a plain, clean toe. Distinctive without trying; correct from the desk to the table.

The upper is full-grain European calfskin, and the colour is the craft: every non-black pair is burnished by hand, the brown built up tone over tone so it shifts and deepens across the leather — no two pairs read quite alike. It's built on the 675 last, an almond toe with a slightly roomier fit that keeps a dress shoe comfortable through a full day. Goodyear welted by our artisans in Almansa, finished with a full leather sole — slim, classic, and made to be resoled and kept.
