A brown single monk strap covers more of the week than a black one and asks for less attention doing it. One buckle, no laces, a clean closed throat, in a versatile mid-brown that sits with gray, navy, and tan. The upper is top-grade European calfskin, the brown built up by hand: an artisan burnishes the color deeper at the toe and heel so it shifts between chestnut and tobacco as the light moves. Built on the Chris's 675 last — an almond toe with a slightly deeper fit, comfortable through long days. Made by our artisans in a workshop in Almansa, Goodyear welted, one pair at a time. A full leather sole keeps it dressy.

Put it under a gray suit and the buckle lifts it a degree above expected; put it under chinos and a jacket and the brown keeps it easy. The most useful monk strap most men aren't wearing.
