The Alex is a brown longwing Derby — the easy color, drawn sharp. Open laces, full wingtip, broguing along the seams, in a versatile mid-brown; and on the 722 last it runs long and lean with a slight chisel toe. The upper is top-grade European calfskin, the brown built up by hand and burnished deeper at the toe and heel for tonal depth. What sets this version apart is the 722 last: the sleekest line in the range, sharper than the rounder 675. Made by our artisans in a workshop in Almansa, Goodyear welted by hand. A full leather sole keeps it dressy.
The most versatile shoe in the range, given an edge — for the man who wants his everyday shoe to be his sharpest. Put it under chinos and it's easy; put it under tailoring and it's deliberate.
Some shoes need an occasion. The Alex makes one — and on the 722, it makes it look deliberate.
