Every Bennett is made by our artisans in a workshop in Almansa, Goodyear welted, one pair at a time. The sole is a chunky lugged commando — deep-lugged rubber for grip on wet ground and cold streets, a confident stance, a little more height than the leather version.

A commando sole is a chunky, deep-lugged rubber sole, and it changes the character of the shoe on purpose. The lugs bite into snow, mud and wet leaves the way no dress sole can, and the extra thickness adds close to an inch of height and a deliberate, planted stance.
