The Miquel is a waxed suede wholecut Oxford — the unexpected version of the most minimal silhouette. One piece of waxed suede in mole, a warm gray-brown with a treated, water-resistant nap: no seam across the upper, the single-cut silhouette given the softness and texture of suede. It's built on the 780 last, a contemporary round toe with the kind of ease that makes a wholecut feel like something you wear on a Saturday rather than only to a meeting. Beneath it, a Gumlite commando sole: a lightweight lugged commando with real grip and traction, a confident stance, a fraction of the weight of a conventional commando. Made by our artisans in a workshop in Almansa.
For weekend dressing that still has standards, for the suit worn casually on a cold day, for the man who wants a wholecut and wants to wear it into the ground. Mole waxed suede reads refined in almost any context; the Gumlite makes sure it handles any ground.
The formal idea, made casual, then made rugged.
