A Fire patina wholecut Oxford is a cognac taken further by hand than a tannery can take it. Start with crust leather — a top-grade hide left in its natural, undyed state — and build the color on entirely by hand: a multi-tone fire patina worked in layer by layer, deeper at the toe and heel, glowing between amber, copper and a burnt russet no flat cognac reaches. On a wholecut there's nowhere for it to hide — the Vincent is one seamless piece of leather, no seam, no panel, the whole surface carrying the finish. It's built on the 722 last, long and lean with a slight chisel toe, the sleekest line in the range. Goodyear welted by our artisans, one pair at a time, in a workshop in Almansa, on a full leather sole. No two pairs come out the same.
This is the warm wholecut for the man who wants his shoe finished by a hand, not a machine — closer to a Museum cognac in spirit, and taken a step past it. Put it under navy or charcoal and let the light find every tone in it.
One seamless cut, one fire built by hand, and not a second pair like it.
