Your expert A question about this product?

An oxblood wholecut Oxford is a decision, and this sole means you never have to defend it on a wet day. The boldest combinable color in the range — a deep wine-dark red that works with gray, navy, and denim like black does, with character black can't — burnished by hand so it glows and shifts across the whole single-cut surface. Long and lean with a chisel toe. Made in a workshop in Almansa, every Vincent is Goodyear welted by our artisans, one pair at a time. Beneath the leather sits a discreet high-density rubber half-sole: grip on wet ground, a longer-lasting sole, the most distinctive color in the range intact.

Wine-dark above, sure-footed below. The oxblood Vincent that earns its color and handles the walk home.

Black is correct. Oxblood is chosen — one seamless cut, ready for any occasion.

Size & Fit

This model fits true to UK/US standard sizing, so simply order what you usually wear in dress shoes or the size that appears most in your shoe closet.

To compare your foot measurements, open the Size Guide in the size selector above.

If the fit isn’t right the first time around, exchange for a different size is free and easy!

Our standard D width fits most feet. If your feet feel a little wide, go half a size up in D. If you know they are genuinely wide, order your usual size in EE: it adds 9 mm (0.35") of girth for extra room and comfort. EE pairs also come with a free set of insoles, so you can fine-tune the fit with complete confidence.

When in doubt, order the same size you usually wear in dress shoes.

The 722 Last

Toe shape: Chisel · Fit: Snug · Sizing: True to size

The shoe reads long, stretched, and sharp. The chisel toe draws an almost horizontal line at the front of the shoe — it doesn't end in a point or a curve, but in a clean, straight edge that gives a very modern and deliberate silhouette. From the instep to the floor, the last communicates intent: this is a shoe that wants to be noticed.

The lateral profile is low and taut. There is no volume in the toe box — the last tapers gradually toward the front without inflating the cap. The result is a shoe that looks even slimmer than it measures, with that visual elongation that makes the foot appear longer and more elegant.

Ideal if you're looking for presence without excess: a shoe that enters the room before you do.

Vincent Oxblood 722

Wholecut Oxford

Cut from a single piece of leather, a wholecut Oxford is the hardest dress shoe to make and the easiest to wear.

Nothing breaks the upper — no cap, no panels, virtually no seams — just one continuous surface from toe to heel. That also means the hide has to be flawless: one weak spot anywhere and the whole pattern is scrapped. The discipline is the appeal.

Worn with tailoring it is the sleekest shoe in the room and the least forgiving, because a wholecut shows every scuff.

Ours are Goodyear welted, which is what keeps that single unbroken line from going slack.

Half Rubber Sole

A half-rubber sole is a leather sole with a thin, high-density rubber half-sole set into the forepart — the half that meets the pavement first and wears out first.

From the side it is still a leather sole, so the shoe keeps the slim profile and the dress-shoe line; underfoot it grips on wet stone and lasts appreciably longer between resoles.

It is the answer to the most common question we get: how do I wear these to the office when the walk from the train is ten blocks in the rain. If you own one dress shoe and it has to work every day, this is the finish to pick.
