Your expert A question about this product?

The John oxblood wingtip brogue boot is the most decorated silhouette in the line, in the boldest combinable color there is. A deep, wine-dark red that works with gray, navy, charcoal, and denim the way black does, then adds the character black can't; few men dare it on a tall brogue boot, which is exactly why it lands: it signals taste, not risk. A full wingtip sweeps the toe, brogued perforations run along every seam, a medallion is punched across the cap. The upper is top-grade European calfskin, the oxblood built up by hand: burnished deeper at the toe and heel so it glows and shifts, the broguing catching it everywhere. It's built on the 675 last — almond toe, comfortable fit. Made by our artisans in a workshop in Almansa, Goodyear welted, one pair at a time. A full leather sole keeps it dressy.

A handcrafted boot, hand-burnished oxblood, the most decorated silhouette in the line — the no-brainer for the man who wants to stand out without being too loud. Put it under tweed or raw denim and let it lead.

Black is correct. Oxblood, brogued and tall, is chosen.

Size & Fit

This model fits true to UK/US standard sizing, so simply order what you usually wear in dress shoes or the size that appears most in your shoe closet.

To compare your foot measurements, open the Size Guide in the size selector above.

If the fit isn’t right the first time around, exchange for a different size is free and easy!

Our standard D width fits most feet. If your feet feel a little wide, go half a size up in D. If you know they are genuinely wide, order your usual size in EE: it adds 9 mm (0.35") of girth for extra room and comfort. EE pairs also come with a free set of insoles, so you can fine-tune the fit with complete confidence.

When in doubt, order the same size you usually wear in dress shoes.

The 675 Last

Toe shape: Almond · Fit: Roomy · Sizing: True to size

The shoe reads balanced, clean, and classically European. The almond toe is generous — there is real volume in the toe box, well-formed and slightly domed — but it resolves into an elegant roundness that never becomes aggressive or pointed.

Compared to the 722, the 675 has more body: the foot breathes, the toes settle with natural ease. Compared to a round-toe last, it still has definition — the toe has its own character. The result is a shoe that looks serious without effort, with harmonious proportions that work with a suit, chinos, or even dark denim.

The English last in its most balanced form: presence without drama, elegance without posturing.

John Oxblood 675

Wingtip Boot

Take the wingtip's W-shaped toe cap, add the punched broguing that runs along its edges, put the whole thing on a boot, and you have a shape that is rugged and decorative at once.

Country origins show in the build; the detailing keeps it from ever reading as work footwear.

This is the boot for tweed, for flannel, for a heavy trouser and a coat with texture, and it earns its place in a wardrobe that already owns a plain boot.

Ours is the John, Goodyear welted in European calfskin on the 675 last, with an almond toe that carries the pattern without crowding it.

Leather Sole

A leather sole is the dressiest way to finish a shoe, and the reason a good pair reads as a good pair from across the room. It is thin where a rubber sole is thick, so the shoe keeps the line the last gave it instead of adding bulk under the foot.

Leather breathes, takes the shape of the way you walk within a few wears, and can be replaced when it finally goes — this is a sole built to be renewed, not discarded.

It is quieter on a hard floor than anything else we make, and it is the sole to choose when the occasion is formal and the day is dry.
