The Miquel is a dark brown wholecut Oxford built for the long day on the foot — the formal silhouette without the formal weight. One seamless piece of leather, no seam across the upper, in a deep dark brown calfskin from the D'Annonay tannery in France, one of the great European leather houses. What defines this version is the sole: a Vibram Morflex, ultra-light and engineered for sneaker-level comfort under the look of a dress shoe. It's built on the 357 last — a square chisel-toe with a spectacular silhouette and extra room at the ball of the foot. Goodyear welted by hand in a workshop in Almansa.
The wholecut Oxford you wear all day and forget you have on. The French calf gives it the look; the Morflex sole makes the weight disappear — for the commute, the long day, the office that also involves a lot of walking.
