A Fire patina Balmoral boot is a formal boot with its color built by hand, not dyed at a tannery. Closed lacing, a cap toe brogued along its seam, and a fire patina worked onto crust leather by an artisan — amber, copper and burnt russet layered deeper at the toe and heel, shifting as the light moves. The Guillaume runs long and lean on the 722 last with a slight chisel toe. Goodyear welted by our artisans, one pair at a time, on a full leather sole with a beveled waist. No two pairs come out the same.
With gray flannel it lifts everything above it; with dark denim it does the same. The most worked-over boot in the line, in a finish no machine could give it — closer to a Museum cognac in spirit, and taken past it.
A formal boot, a fire built by hand, and not a second pair like it.
