Black is the safe boot. Oxblood is the one people notice. The Bennett in oxblood is a Chelsea boot in a deep, wine-dark red — elastic side gores, a low pull tab, a clean unbroken line — and on the 722 last it runs long and lean with a slight chisel toe. Serious in low light, alive in the sun.

Full-grain European calfskin, the oxblood built up by hand — an artisan burnishing the colour deeper at the toe and heel so it glows and shifts instead of sitting flat. That tonal movement is the whole point of the colour, and it comes only from the hand. Goodyear welted, made to resole and last.

The 722 is one of our sleekest lasts: chisel toe, stylized line, sharper than the rounder 675. The full leather sole keeps it dressy — slim, classic, made to be resoled and kept.
