The Daniel is a black split toe boot — a laced boot with a hand-detail most men never notice until they do. Closed lacing, and a split-toe seam running up the center of the vamp: a raised, hand-sewn line that gives the boot character a plain toe can't. The upper is Alcazar leather, a black calfskin with a distinctive woven-look grain that catches the light and adds texture beside the central seam. It's built on the 357 last, a square chisel-toe with extra room at the ball of the foot. Beneath it sits a Vibram Eton sole: a refined lugged rubber with discreet grip and a low, clean profile, so the boot stays sharp while handling real ground. Made by our artisans in a workshop in Almansa, Goodyear welted one pair at a time.
Put it under wool or denim and the split-toe seam reads as quiet craft; the Vibram Eton keeps it sure-footed without bulking it up. A boot with a line worth following, on a sole built for the city.
The plain boot is correct. The Daniel has a line worth following.
