A slipper is evening footwear and does not pretend otherwise.

Low, soft, cut close to the foot, with nothing where a lace would otherwise sit — the shoe for black tie, for the wedding, for the dinner where the shoes still matter. It is also the easiest way for a groom and his groomsmen to arrive matched: order the party in one color and the whole line reads deliberate in every photograph.

Ours come plain, with an embroidered motif — palms, skulls — or finished with a pair of tassels on the vamp, in velvet that catches light or patent that reflects it outright.

Wear it with a dinner suit and dark socks.

Leather Sole

A leather sole is the dressiest way to finish a shoe, and the reason a good pair reads as a good pair from across the room. It is thin where a rubber sole is thick, so the shoe keeps the line the last gave it instead of adding bulk under the foot.

Leather breathes, takes the shape of the way you walk within a few wears, and can be replaced when it finally goes — this is a sole built to be renewed, not discarded.

It is quieter on a hard floor than anything else we make, and it is the sole to choose when the occasion is formal and the day is dry.
