Your expert A question about this product?

The Peter is a brown loafer in soft calfskin — the easiest dress shoe a man can wear. No laces, a clean low-cut vamp, and a top-grade European calfskin chosen soft: a supple leather that gives underfoot and breaks in fast, burnished by hand at the toe so the warm mid-brown shifts and deepens in the light. Beneath it sits a lightweight rubber sole — comfort and grip on a slim dress profile, the loafer you can wear from morning to night. Made by our artisans in a workshop in Almansa.

Put it under chinos, gray trousers, or denim — the soft brown loafer goes everywhere and asks nothing. The slip-on for the man who wants supple comfort and a dress-shoe look in the same shoe.

The everyday loafer, soft enough to forget you're wearing.

The 435 Last

Toe shape: Oval · Fit: Very roomy · Sizing: True to size

The loafer reads relaxed, generous, and unhurried. The 435 makes no claim to being a dress shoe — and that is a virtue. The toe is oval and full, almost entirely round, with no taper that suggests formality. The body of the last is wide and voluminous, with a medium-low instep and good width across the sides.

This is the last for the man who wants a loafer that goes on without thinking, that pairs with chinos, jeans, or even shorts, and that simply stays comfortable all day. Nothing pinches, nothing pulls — the foot lives inside with real ease.

Penny Loafer

A penny loafer is the slip-on that dresses up.

A leather strap crosses the vamp with a small cut-out slot in the middle — the slot that once held a coin and gave the shoe its name — and everything else is kept slim and low. No laces, no hardware, no fuss.

Worn with tailored trousers it is nearly as dressy as a derby; worn with chinos in July it is the most comfortable correct shoe there is.

Ours are Goodyear welted, which is unusual in a loafer and the reason the shape holds instead of collapsing after a season of being pulled on and kicked off.

Rubber Sole

A rubber sole is the practical, all-weather finish: solid grip, real cushioning underfoot and a wearing surface that shrugs off the pavement.

It is thicker than leather and quieter than a lugged sole, which puts it in the useful middle — enough traction for a wet street, enough restraint to wear with tailoring.

It asks for nothing: no dry-day planning, no careful route around the puddle. Choose it for the pair that gets worn without thinking about it, the one that goes on in the morning whatever the forecast says and comes back looking the same.
