The Martin is a brown saddle Oxford — the classic form, a shoe with genuine heritage and the look to justify it. Closed lacing, a shaped saddle panel across the instep, an almond toe, in a warm mid-brown. The upper is top-grade European calfskin, the brown burnished by hand at the toe and heel so the color shifts between chestnut and tobacco as the light moves; the saddle panel grounds the shoe and gives the burnish a frame. It's built on the 675 last — comfortable fit. Made by our artisans in a workshop in Almansa, Goodyear welted by hand. A full leather sole keeps it dressed.

Under gray or navy it earns its place; under summer tailoring the saddle and the brown arrive together as a combination that reads as though the shoe was made for the clothes. The Martin sits between the plain Oxford and the brogue without committing to either.
