A cognac single monk strap belongs to good weather, which is no reason to strand it there. One buckle, a clean closed throat, a warm reddish tan hand-burnished at the toe and heel so it glows between amber and copper. Built on the Chris's 675 last — almond toe, roomier fit. Made in a workshop in Almansa, Goodyear welted by our artisans, one pair at a time. Beneath the leather sits a discreet high-density rubber half-sole: grip on warm pavement, a sole that wears slower, the warm dress look intact.

Wear it to the long lunch, the daytime event, the city in good weather and bad. Warm above, sure-footed below.
