The Ashford is a dark brown cap-toe Oxford — the brown that behaves like black, with warmth in it. Clean closed lacing, one crisp seam across the toe, a color deep enough for a charcoal suit and warm enough to soften it. The upper is top-grade European calfskin, and the dark brown is built up by hand: an artisan burnishes the color deeper at the toe and heel so it gains depth and tonal movement instead of sitting flat. Built on the 675 last — almond toe, slightly deeper fit — for comfort through long days. Made by our artisans in a workshop in Almansa, Goodyear welted one pair at a time. A full leather sole finishes it at its dressiest.
