The Francis is a brown double monk strap — the most versatile color on the most deliberate shoe. Two buckles, no laces, a clean closed throat, in a warm mid-brown that sits with gray, navy, and tan without choosing between them. The upper is top-grade European calfskin, the brown built up by hand: burnished deeper at the toe and heel so the color shifts between chestnut and tobacco as the light moves. It's built on the 722 last — long and lean with a slight chisel toe, the sleekest line in the range. Made by our artisans in a workshop in Almansa, Goodyear welted by hand. A full leather sole keeps it dressy.
